When did you join the 1st Dragoons?

I joind the 1st Dragoons in September of 2015.

 

What was the major factor in you joining?

The brotherhood/family atmosphere of the 1st Dragoons. Followed closely by the continuation of the history of the US Mounted forces impressions.

 

What do you do in real life?

Industrial Maintenance Technician at a foundry, but I am currently working on my Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling.

 

What is your favorite aspect of re-enacting the American Revolution?

I would say may favorite aspect is representing the troops during a very volatile but at the same time a very civil time. They could be very stern and viscous in combat, but at the same times had manners and self discipline.

 

What is your fondest memory from your time with the unit?

My fondest memory so far would have to be sitting around in camp talking and joking around with everyone at Cantigny.

 

What is a fun fact about yourself?

I have been reenacting cavalry since 2000. Having participated in Reenactments from Sailor's Creek, Virginia to the Little Big Horn in Montana and as far south as Chickamauga, Georgia. Most of these have been accompanied by my horses Bullet and Molly.
